For each GAW, topics are chosen that are relevant to current analytical problems in genetic epidemiology, and sets of real or computer-simulated data are distributed to investigators worldwide. Results of analyses are discussed and compared at meetings held in even-numbered years.

- 20 SEPTEMBER: Early registration and hotel reservation deadline. Registration fees go up by $75 after this date.
- 22 SEPTEMBER: Individual contributions and student travel award nominations due. Contributions may be no longer than 5 pages and will be submitted via a web site. We will send out instructions for how to upload them later in the summer.
- 29 SEPTEMBER: You will receive confirmation of your discussion group assignment and student travel award winners will be notified.
